The Flip is Good for Photos, After All
It's time to take that family photo or one last shot of departing guests. You know the drill: Assemble everyone in a group. Get them to nudge in a bit so everyone fits in the frame, warn them that you're about to take the picture so that you can make sure it's not spontaneous and Johnny has a clear cue about when to put up Indian feathers behind Bobby's head and stick out his tongue. Then, best of all, announce "Everyone say 'cheese'" to the assemblage so that you can make sure that absolutely no one will have a natural smile.

Contrast that with keeping your Flip handy during the whole visit, and catching people being their endearing selves at moments when they aren't looking. Then, in FlipShare, zero into those best moments, when the lighting was just right and someone was in the middle of a story, or playing a guitar. Pick just the right frame and turn it into a 1280 x 720 snapshot. These are the keepers that bring back the memories. The post photos at best recall the moments which represent everyone at their least engaging moments.
